I have always loved to write. I've been writing fiction since I was about nine years old. In college that resulted in my hooking up with an amateur science-fiction group Tales of the Tai-Pan Universe-- which is still the primary outlet for my fiction. In 2001 I felt the need to write non-fiction essays and was pleased to complete several. I am not nearly as prolific as I would like to be-- so if you enjoy reading essays you should check out my friend's site "Sans fig leaf" for a weekly essay. In 2005 I won an the Ursa Major Award for my story "In His Own Country." I was very pleased to have my work recognized.
